This positive trend is being attributed to the increased visibility of VNW patrols and a concerted effort to foster greater community participation in local safety initiatives.
Residents in Port Owen, known for its picturesque canals and residential estates, have actively supported the VNW's expanded schedule of foot and vehicle patrols. These patrols, often conducted in collaboration with private security companies operating in the area, focus on deterring opportunistic crime, particularly during peak holiday seasons and weekends. The VNW's strategy includes regular communication with residents through local social media groups and a dedicated alert system, ensuring swift reporting and response to suspicious activities.
